🙋♀️ We got you -- read on! |
👋
Can I meet my sitter? All new clients can expect to have a complimentary in-home consultation with their main sitter. Consultations are generally 10-20 minutes. We will take a tour of your kitty's environment and learn where all their necessary supplies are. This is also an opportunity for us to see the cat relaxed so we can more easily tell if something is off with their behavior. We will pick up a set of keys at this time and go over entry instructions. If you request a second consultation due to moving or care changes, you will be charged for a drop in visit.
|
🏥
What if there is an emergency with my cat? You will be alerted immediately of any health concerns. We will work with you to determine the best course of action, and/or reach out to your emergency contact if listed. If necessary, your cat will be taken to the vet (chargeable at $50/hr). Please complete your vet information in Pet Pocketbook and talk with your vet about providing us permission to bring your cat in. We also request you list at least one emergency contact who has a key to your home.
|
💉
Do you offer medicine administration? Many of our sitters can administer medications. If your cat needs medication (for example, to be pilled, use an inhaler or get injections) we will book our Extra Care Visit at $33. Sitters that are able to provide this service are in high demand and have a special skill set. This extra work and responsibility is reflected in the price of care. We suggest requesting extra care visits a month in advance to ensure availability.
|
⏰
Can I request a specific visit time? Most of our sitters have full time jobs and do cat visits because they love cats! Our sitters set their own schedules. For 1x a day visits, unless a time is requested, they will do it at their convenience. Priority is given to cats who receive medication.
|
💰
How do I pay? New clients must pay before service, or service may be canceled. Current clients will receive an email after service with their invoice. Invoices can be paid through CC or ACH on Pet Pocketbook (5% convenience fee charged by provider). You can also pay through your bank with Zelle to [email protected]. If you do not have access to Zelle, we do have Venmo, name upon request. Tips for appreciation can be paid with your invoice.
|
👯♀️
Will I have the same cat sitter? We base our pairings off of location, to make it more convenient for everyone (we want to cut down time commuting or sitting in traffic). The sitter you meet at your consultation will be your main sitter. If your sitter is not available we will set you up with a backup sitter, if possible, and request a second set of keys for them to keep as a backup.

🌭📸💦
What do visits include? - Feeding
- Refreshing water - Scooping litter - LOVE: Playtime, cuddling, brushing - Bringing in mail, watering a few plants (upon request) - Visit update with photos |
🧼
Do you clean as well? Our goal is for you to come back to a happy, healthy kitty. We aim to keep your home tidy for your arrival and for your cat's wellbeing, but we are not house cleaners, and therefore expectations should be set accordingly.
|
🙌
How can I help everything go smoothly? - Make all visit request with at least 2 weeks notice so we have time to coordinate scheduling
- Communicate your arrival and departure times to your sitter so they can plan accordingly - Fill out your pets profile; including photos or your cats, vet info and emergency contact - Leave supplies out if possible, we also love sticky note reminders |
✈️
What if my travel plans change? Please let us know as soon as possible about any changes.
We try to be flexible about changes, but if you are canceling with less than 24hrs notice please email [email protected] and your sitter, as well as canceling your visit in Pet Pocketbook. This will give us the best chance to make sure your sitter see's the change in time. If you forget to cancel and the sitter is on their way or at your house for the scheduled visit, you will be charged for that visit. If you have prepaid, any unused money will stay on your account as a credit for your next trip. |
💸
Prices seem steep? When you pay for a visit, you are paying for the sitter to walk, bike, bus or drive 5-20 minutes each way to your home. They come no matter how cold, or how hard the rain. You are paying for them to block this time out on their calendar for you 2 months out when they aren't sure what their day will look like, a week before, or maybe even move things around on their scheduled the day before in an emergency. You are paying for 20-30 minutes of their love and care for your your home and beloved pet. We understand that visits add up, but our prices are set for the time and commitment the sitter must make to provide great service.

🆘
Why are emergency contacts important? You should always have a backup plan in place. This includes, having a friend or neighbor who has a key to your home and can help out in a home or vet emergency. If their is a leak, we may not be able to wait there for a plumber. If your cat needs to go to the emergency vet, you may prefer to have a friend take over so you are not paying our emergency fee. Having a backup plan will help you not be as stressed in an emergency.
